The crew at Strawbay has sailed the code seas for quite some time, building software systems from startup to enterprise level. We know how crucial integrations are for businesses. We also know that when you buy integration services from an external provider, it’s usually like buying a black box – a pretty expensive one.
Strawbay is the opposite of black-box integrations. With our Integration Management Platform, everything is transparent. You can see all integrations, their status, and how data flows. If you want to make changes or add something, it’s all at your fingertips. However, if you prefer, we can handle the changes and build the integrations for you – but it’s not mandatory.
Jakob is one of our founding fathers. He is driven by change and enjoys challenging old beliefs and structures. He holds a degree in Computer Science and has 10+ years of experience in managing and developing B2B fintech solutions.
Claes is one of our founding fathers, CEO, and responsible for Customer Relations. He holds a degree in Business Economics from Bentley University in Boston and has sailed the seas as a founder, board member, and CEO for 18 years. Whatever industry Claes enters, his focus is to be a rebel and disruptor, driving substantial change.
If you’re looking for Strawbay’s equivalent to Neo in The Matrix, then look no further. Andrii is our CTO and has been with the Blingdale Group even before the inception of Strawbay. He has 10+ years of experience in the IT domain and holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from The West Ukrainian National University.
Johanna is all about building and fostering a strong team spirit and an awesome culture. She holds a degree in Human Resource Management and has 10+ years of experience in Executive Search, Recruiting, Change Management, and Employer Branding.
Joakim has always had an eye for detail and loves crunching numbers and conducting research. He holds a master’s degree in International Business and has over 15 years of experience in banking and as a CFO at software companies.
Robin is driven by crafting stories and building brands that find a special place in the minds and hearts of prospects, customers, and employees. He holds a master’s degree in Media and Strategic Communication and has 15+ years of experience in leading and specialist roles in B2B SaaS.
The idea of Strawbay was actually born out of Quiddly – another company part of the Blingdale Group. Quiddly discovered early on that stable and transparent integrations are key to success in their industry. This led them to develop their very own integration service named Squidd – the primordial seed that would later become the catalyst for Strawbay’s inception.
Although Strawbay’s software is completely separate from Quiddly’s, we carry with us the cheerful little octopus named Squidd as an informal mascot and a reminder of our roots.
There’s no shortage of creativity at Strawbay – let’s put it that way. Our name actually has nothing to do with strawberries, even though we don’t mind people making that connection.
Strawbay is the hovering island that connects software in the cloud. However, we go beyond the cloud – we’re up in the stratosphere! That’s where the stra-part comes from. Connect stra with the bay where software anchors, add a “w” for some phonetic pizzazz, and you get: Strawbay.
